Hi,
I would be extremely happy if some one could please help me with few of my queries. I am a Pharmacy graduate from India (Completed after 2002), and has completed a Masters degree from Australia. In between I also cleared APEC stage one examination. I haven't started the trainee ship position still. But currently, I wish to write FPGEE examination. My queries are:
Thank You very much, With Sincere appreciation, Curious guy |

In your case, unfortunately I'd say you are not eligible. US wants foreign pharmacists to have completed at least 5 years of CONTINUOUS study that leads to license in ONE country. You should've taken a single five year pharmacy degree program in just one country. I am definitely sure about this as I called and even sent them a letter about this in the past, not too long ago.
I've seen some people in other forums where they had a 4 yr pharmacy degree with a masters in some other pharmacy related field. However, taking a grduate degree does not help. You may have to look for PharmD programs to become licensed in US. And perhaps you need to get a license first from the country where you are willing to practice. Hope this helps. |

I think you are eligible since you graduated from BS Pharmacy in India in 2002. The 5 year requirement applies to those who graduated on or after Janiuary 2003. Better check with the NABP bulletin regarding this. www.nabp.net/ftpiles/bulletins/FPGECApRegBulletin.pdf
