Did anyone apply for sitting in the FPGEE exam recently?

One of my friend just got the reply from NABP, suggesting her to ask for the refund and telling her that her major was not qualified for sitting in the exam. This news really scares me off, since I'm about to submit the application.

I know everyone has different background here. But, are they really fair about the evaluation? As we know, another girl whose major was exactly the same as my friend's got approved 3 years ago. If they're changing the criteria, shall I try my luck right now or should I wait for a while?

Actually, I'm as upset as my friend, hoping to hear some more news from here.

What's her major? Did your friend get ECE report says her degree is equivalent to BS in pharmaceutical science in US? You might want to have your degree evaluated by ECE before sending your documents/check to NABP to save money. I feel NABP is getting tighter on FPGEC in the past 2 years.

ECE report says her degree IS equivalent to BS in pharmaceutical science in US, with emphasis in microbiology...(sth. like that). Some guys told me they did have that extra line. I don't know if that is the reason.

We're both from China, studied pharmacy for 4 years, but graduated before 2002.

I guess that's the odd thing in China, we have been divided into a lot of majors, not general pharmacy. Because at our time, China did not require license to do pharmacy practice.

I have Pharmacy degree from China and palnning to apply for FPGEE as well. I'll share what I figure out with you ASAP. But at this point, have you ever tried to get a letter from China to verify you that you are qualified to practice pharmacy in China? Or it is not necessary?

i'm a chinese too but i'm from malaysia. i'm about to make an application for FPGEE but it seems like there are a lot of complications like they want the pharmacy board in our country to submit the documents etc.
How long does NABP take to reply whether our application for FPGEE is accepted?
