“In business courses, professors should teach only factual information ad skills, not ethics.”
Discuss the extent … The statement presents a very interesting yet controversial issue. Although, some may argue that factual information and skills are the only things needed, in business courses, I believe that ethics is just as important as the other two. Ethics is important to have in business courses, for the reason that the student needs to understand how to treat subordinates to gain their respect and how to treat customers to gain their loyalty. First, depending on how ethical a manager of a company is, the subordinates would enable a company to be very successful or destroy it just as well. Managers have to treat these employees appropriately for the smooth running of a business and for success the managers have to ensure that they are satisfied. After all, employees are the backbone of any business. Second, the success of a company largely depends on a satisfied customer. Ensuring that a customer is treated properly will guarantee that that customer will come again, increase one’s consumers by word of mouth and probably become loyal to that company. For example, the owner of a restaurant would want to hire very good waiters to wait on the consumers. A good waiter would be one who presents himself with a smile on his face, clean and meticulous attire, and has an ability to give information about whichever part of the menu the consumer wants to know about. The same goes for product providing companies, since providing a good product is more ethical than providing a product of cheaper quality, just to make money. Admittedly, I acknowledge that information and skills are fundamentally essential for a student to have. But, having only these resources to one’s credit, one’s future career and endeavors will likely suffer. In conclusion, I believe that it is better to include ethics in entrepreneurship courses, because even though having the skills and information necessary to conduct daily business activities, ethics is a key ingredient to whether the student’s pursuits are going to be successful. It took me about 37 - 38 min . My exam is coming up soon and I'd appreciate it if you gave me your views on how and what I can improve on. That was a good write up, some of the key factors i noticed in your essay is that, once u have a lot of info in your mind, U tend to put all those facts into your essay, which is Bow wow wow yippee yo yippee yay!!!!11 way to fill up the content, but make sure its split up into diff paragraphs and is distributed throughout the essay.
I would have split the content in the second para, across/split in other paras as well. |

Im not sure about how its rated in GMAT, but still since u insist.
For the amount of data conveyed and the analysis done i would rate it @ 5. Even if a few of the details mentioned is reduced, the score is bound to drop. Kindly work on a presentation of the content. ![]() |
