Technological progress makes economic growth

Technological progress makes economic growth and widespread prosperity possible; it also makes a worker’s particular skills less crucial to production. Yet workers’ satisfaction in their work depends on their believing that their work is difficult and requires uncommon skills. Clearly, then, technological progress ______
Which one of the following most logically completes the argument?
(A) deceases the quality of most products
(B) provides benefits only to those whose work is not directly affected by it
(C) is generally opposed by the workers whose work will be directly affected by it
(D) cause workers to feel less satisfaction in their work
(E) eliminates many worker’s jobs

argument does not say that the workers are opposed to technological advances. It just says that the level of satisfaction is reduced.
For example, stuff done by a computer such as calculations affects the worker but that does not mean that he is opposed to the computer doing work. It also does not mean that the worker will be less satisfied if the computer does calculations.

Answer D.
