Town A vs. Town B, no. of shoes (Weaken EXCEPT question)

More shoes are sold in Town A than in Town B. Therefore the population of Town A is better heeled than the population of Town B.

Each of the following, if true, weakens the conclusion drawn here except:

A There are more shoe stores in Town A.
B Town B only has stores that sell running shoes.
C The average price for the same pair of shoes is less in Town A than in Town B.
D Town A has a larger population than Town B.
E Most citizens of Town B work in Town A and therefore find it more convenient to buy their shoes there.

By POE, I chose C. Elaborate on options B and C please.
    Thanks.

    Cool

    B is supporting the conclusion.
In a way, C is also supporting the cunclusion.
    How about choice A.

    P57 is right.

But still Out of A and C, I pick C.
C neither weakens nor strengthens the conclusion.

I would go wid B becoz it doesn't reflect shoe... in town A, where may or may not be stores selling only running shoe.
If town A do not have running shoe stores then it will weaken the argument but if has..then it will strenghen the argument.
C n A are clearly supporting the conclusion.

    Official Answer pls?

It means that more people (% of people) in Town A have the accessibility to wear a pair of shoes.

    i choose A..
does more shoe stores in Town A, means more shoes will be sold there???
i guess it weakens the conclusion..
How is it C? how does it weaken it... just talking of averages right? According to me, it supports the conclusion

    A and C ???

    Whats your pick?

Fow me it can be either of the two. One talks about more shoe-stores while the other abt larger population. Both can be the reason for more shoes being sold in city 'A'. But is till like 'A' more. More shoe store means more shoes being sold.

conclusion Town A people are better heeled than Town B people.

    what will support this?
if more people in town A wear shoes.

A There are more shoe stores in Town A. -Doesnt mean that more people will buy.
B Town B only has stores that sell running shoes. may mean that town B people has lesser options than town A thus people in town B buy less shoes compared to town A. Keep it.
C The average price for the same pair of shoes is less in Town A than in Town B.
Shoes are cheper in town A. which means more sell of shoes in town A but that doent mean that more people are buying.
D Town A has a larger population than Town B.
that doesnt mean more people are buying shoes rather it is diffiuclt to prove that A people are better heeled
E Most citizens of Town B work in Town A and therefore find it more convenient to buy their shoes there.
    weakens the conclusion.

    Choice B
