Well lets take it in this way

Say India exports CARS.. loads and loads of cars,.... BUt to prepares cars it needs tyres and because there is no good tyres industry in India, it imports it.. Now the govt of india plans to stop import of tyres because it wants to flourish the domestic tyres industry.. But what haepped is that as a result the prices of cars shoot up and they started facing difficulty in export (forgein) market

Obviously it happened because the prices of tyres when produced in India incresed in comparison with those which were earliers imported.. Thats wat option A is ... isn't it

Thanks, yes that's was my understanding of this passage too. So, the product in B was like "product that is using fledgling were the one...." , the answer could be B?
