I think that the answer is E.
1) Least common denominator of x/y and 1/3 is 6. then, y can be 1,2,6. insufficient. 2) if x=1, we still don't know the value of y. Insufficient. 1+2) Still insufficient. 1/y and 1/3. y still can be 1,2,6. |

Statement 1 LCD = LCM of the denominators of a set of fractions So Y has to be either 2 or 6 Statement 2 Insufficient. Since numerator doesnt matter here. Cobined 1 & 2 is also insufficient
