In the fraction, x/y where x and y are integers , what is the value of y?
(1) the least common denominator of x/y and 1/3 is 6.

(1) is insufficient because :

if x/y = 1/y

the lsc between y and 3 is 6.
y could be y=2 or y= 6

(2) is insufficient.

I just take x=1, as x/y works for all x and y, it works for x=1
