    x=3 simply means that the remainder is 3 itself.........

    using case 1 = x can be 3,9,15,21,27 etc ...
    Using case 2 = x can be 15,27,39 etc

    in either case when x is divided by 6 the remainder = 3 therfore and = D

    what i meant is dat wen u have a small number like 3 in dis case to be divide by a larger no. 6....then 3 itself is considered as the remainder....this goes true for all such cases...............
