what is the value of x

1)x pow2-y pow 2=0
2) x/y+y/x=0

1)x pow2=y pow2
x=+y or x=-y

insuff

2)

x/y=-y/x
x pow 2=-y pow 2
x =sqrt[(-1)*y pow 2]
x=sqrt(-1)* y or x=sqrt(-1) *(-y)

this is also insuff

but the answer is 2 is suff to answer the qst

i think it is E
x^2-y^2=0 insuff
x/y+y/x=x^2+y^2=0insuff here xy<>0
add 1 and 2 x^2=0 so x=0 but x cannot be 0 as xy<>0 assumed in stmt2

IMO B

Stat 2 is
x/y + y/x = 0
x pow 2= - y pow 2
this is true only if y = 0
Hence x = 0
