Barrons & Kaplan Premier program 2009: Info required

Hi All,

I am one month away from my test date. I have read some good comments on Barron's(for maths). Kaplan's premier program looks good going by the 'Table of contents' available for review on Amazon.

Can someone who has gone through either of these books please confirm how good they are? As I am just one month away from the test, I want to use my time judiciously (instead of wasting it on the relatively easy OG11 maths problems)..

Another question I have is regarding the title of Barron's. People just mention the word 'Barrons', however it will be useful to know which book of Barrons is it exactly. I believe it is 'Barron's Gmat: How to Prepare for the Graduate Management Admission Test' 11th ed, but can someone confirm this please.

Thanks,
Raj

barron's is a invaluable resource for GRE. However, stay away from it from the perspective of the GMAt. It is not worth it.
Kaplan oremier is far better than the Barron's. In fact, if you are looking at gaining some gfroundwork on basics, you could refer to this book.
I have heard that the CD that comes with the book is invaluable for the practice tests (I have the CD but haven;t had the time to go through it yet)

I have neither used Barrons or Kaplans but I can tell you with complete certainty that Veritas test prep materials are extremely effective.
I improved my test score from 570 to 660 by going for their quantitative intensive 1 weekend tutorial. The class was OK, but the book was perfect.

I still have mine in almost new condition if you want to purchase and you can can call me at (281) 687 7714. I am selling all 15 booklets for $300.

And trust me it is more than worth it!
