You need to know 2 techniques.
1. if x - y > 0 then x > y. 2. You need to know how to add inequalities. I do have a session on inequalities with additional practice problems. I am an online GMAT math coach. You can find out more from my website in my signature. |

The two things that are tested most in inequalities is if you know when to flip the inequalities signs (e.g. abs value, or mult/dividing by -ve sign), also there are many problems where they ask what is the least number x if y>blah blah, and for those you have to make the correct assumption and move forward. this is very tricky compared to equality where you have a definite answer, and it can be annoying. but i've been practicing these and seeing patterns for this question type. i think it comes with practice, haven't quite figured these out myself.
