2. In 1985 45% of document storage facility's 60 customers were banks and in 1987, 25% of document storage facility's 144 customers were banks. Find the % increase from 1985 to 1987 in the no:of bank customers? (a)10.7% (b)20% (c)25% (d)100/3 % (e)175/3 % as per my solution answer shud be 10.7%. Thanks |

q1
let it be following symbols t1-the time spent in the first day t2-the time spent in the second day and t2=t1+2 according to the problem total time is 18 so simply solve equation t1+t2=18 t1+t1+2=18 so t1=8 and t2=10 v1 is speed on the first day v2 is speed on the second day and v2=v1+1 total distance =64 t1*v1+t2*v2=64 8*v1+10*(v1+1)=64 18v1=54 v1=3 so the answer is 3 what is oa? |

but i do not see the way other than direct 0,45*60=27 0,25*144=36 36-27=9/27*100=33% that corresponds with d may be i am wrong ![]() |

This is honestly confusing and also there is change in the strength of teh customers.
so diff in 45% of 60 & 25% of 144 divided by 144-60 so 10.7%.. somehow we being asked to solve a simple prob is hard to digest. ![]() |
