Statement 1: SUFFICIENT We know the middle integer of the first 9 is 7 (that's the only way 9 consecutive integers can have a mean of 7). From there we'll be able to figure out the mean when we add 2 more integers to the end. Statement 2: SUFFICIENT We know the middle integer of the last 9 is 9. Same reasoning as above. We'll be able to figure out the mean when we add 2 more integers to the beginning. You don't actually need to solve the problem, but if you did the answer is 8.
