drainage problem
if 120 gallon tub has a drainage which when opens drains water at a rate of 6 gallons/min,if the tub is empty and the drain is open,at what rate in gallons /minute must water be added in the tub in order to fill it in one hour?

8gpm.
With the drain closed you would need 2 hours (120mins ) to fill the tub. To fill it in one hour (60 min) you need double that so 2 gpm. In a minute you need 8 gallons so that after draining 6 gallons you still are left with 2 gallons.
