    x+y+z= 0
    x+2y + 3z = 0
    From both statements:
    y+2z=0 y= -2z

    substituting in statement 1:

    x-2z+z=0 -> x-z=0 -> x=z

    Therefore x/y= -(1/2)
    answer: A

    A: x+y+z=0 hence 3x+3y+3z=0.
    B: x+2y+3z=0
    Let A-B, we have 2x+y=0. Hence 2x=-y.
    So x/y=-1/2

    Answer: A.
