    Coordinate Circle; how many points possible

    Hello,

    please help me.

    Point (a,b) is on the circle represented by x2+y2=10, and a ,b are integers. How many such points are possible?

    32 + 12 = 10

    So the set of points is { (3,1), (1,3), (-3,1), (1,-3), (-3,-1), (-1,-3), (-1,3), (3,-1) }

    Therefore 8 points.

    3^2 + 1^2 = 10

    Hence 2 variable and the possibility on coordinate plane is 2^2 + 2^2 = 8.
