Since [x]=1 might have x=1/4 as well as x=4/5 therefore it is not possible to determine [2x] (whether 1 or 2).

From [3x] =1 it follows that x

 

2. The correct answer is A

From the Q the values can be in the form 2^1, 2^2 .... 2^7 .. 2^9 and so on. Hence possible values a,b,c,d can take are

2,4,8,16,32,64,128,264 so on.

Since a + b +c + d =170 therefore plug the values and you can find that the only possible values can be 2,8,32,128 which satisfy this eq. and from the Q 1

 

From abcd=2^16 , there are two combinations (more than 1 combination)
