Could you please explain the solution of the following Problem to me?

1) Thomas rides his bicycle at 6mph to the bus station and then travels the rest of the way to the easter bunny by bus at 30 mph. If the time he spends on the bus is 20 minutes less than the time he rides his bike and the distance of the entire trip is 26 miles, how far is it from his house to the bus station?

x/6 - (26-x)/30 = 20/60
5x-26+x=10
6x=36
x=6(answer)
