Can we treate ineuality equation same as equaliti equation?

x < y

then x + 2y > x + 3

Regarding the question:

x + y > 3
x < y

Add x to both sides: x + x + y > x + 3

Adding "y" to "x + y" such as in "x + 2y > x + 3" would definitely make it bigger than "x + 3", since "x" (which is less than "y") added to "x + y" also does.
