eltonr Posted November 14, 2007 Share Posted November 14, 2007 What are the units of 4*2 sheets ? My approach was 1 million liter cube implies each side is 100. Therefore area of each side 10000. No of sheets required would be 10000/(4*2) = 125 (but this no where close) since units of 4*2 sheets are not specified. We know that each side has to be 100 ( Units) , and by knowing what is the size of Metal sheets, we can figure out how many sheets are required to make 1 face of the cube or vice versa. V cube = s^3 10^6 = s^3 10^(2* 3) = s^3 SA cube = 6 faces * area of a face 6 * (10^2) * (10^2) 60000 m^3 # of sheets required = Total SA / measure of each sheet = 60000 / (4*2) = 60000/8 = 7500.
