btit, how do you get the expression
2m-n+m / n-m = 2m-(n-m) / n-m = (2m/n-m) -1 =0 in statement 2?

Where does the mysterious zero come from?

From 1:
2m/(n-m)=7/3
6m=7n-7m
13m=7n
m/n=7/13

From 2:
n-m=6
n=6+m (not a numeric value)

So 1 is sufficient

You are using data from statement 1 which is not allowed.
