Arrow terminating

Which of the following fractions has a decimal equivalent that is a terminating decimal?
A.10\189 B.15\196 C. 16\225 D. 25\144 E. 39\128

i guess there might b some rule in determining which one results in terminating, rather than finding the answer by dividing....

The rule is that any number divided by a power of 2 or 5 is a terminating decimal.

E qualifies for that.

Testtaker,

Where did you find that rule? Is there anywhere I can read it and learn the proof behind it?

Thanks.
