OG# 24 (Classical rational Model Vs Intuition)
24. The passage provides support for which of the following statements?
c) Managers' intuition works contrary to their rational and analytical skills. e) Intuition enables managers to employ their practical experience more efficiently. OG didn't explain C much. Please advice why it is not the answer. I thought the whole point of the passage was that Intuition is coverse of rational thinking. Rational and analytical skill asks to analyze the problem first before taking action. While intuition persuades the manager to take the action first in order to analyze and understand the problem in detail. |

Re: OG# 24 (Classical rational Model Vs Intuition)
I think you missed some of the subtlety in this passage.
On lines 14-16, the author says that those writers who see intuition as the opposite of rationality display a poor grasp of what intuition is. The author further emphasizes this point on line 24 when he states "This intuition is not arbitrary or irrational [...]" So the passage does not support the idea that intuition works contrary to rational skills - quite the opposite. |
