Hello all,
I am new to this site. I find it very useful and I would like to thank Erin for doing such a good.I am a non-native English speaker and have problem in terms of RC. I mean serious problem. I saw a posting in this site taht somebody was telling that for RC, each question should take almost 2 minutes. Well, I am so behind the time.( I have problem understanding ). I started preparing for GMAT on August 1, and every day I have been trying to read passages from Economist and Scientific American( I spend about an hour and a half daily). I find the scientific American very difficult. My question is how long should i continue before reading actual passages from say, Kaplan. ( I don't want to feel fear and angry every time I read a passage)[}

Depends seriously on ur present status, aspirations and time you devote daily.

I am following the advice I have seen other places on this site and I am working through 2 passages a day for the next two months (in addition to my normal studying). I REALLY spend the time to understand those passages and the structure and answers. I'll keep you posted on my progress.

u should also go to dictionary.com and make a account over there that will send u one word every day and that will help understand comprehension passages

Hi Guys,

RCs are my biggest worry for GMAT. I can't read the whole comprehension in short time. There were a few docs available which i think will be helpful, but i'll have to wait until testmagic approves my authenticity and lets me download the stuff. If any of you can give me some tips about RCs, I'd be grateful (Kaplan and Princeton don't seem to work very well for me)
