Use of past tense required in the subordinate clause
use of 'beacuse of' gives correct meaning
'it' and 'its' clearly refer to the subject-TWEC

I know that A lacks a bit of clarity but I would still go with it because 'announced that' sounds better...

    Hi Effective_Factor,

If the main clause is in past tense then subordinate clause has to be in simple past or past perfect tense.

    announced... that
past tense usually requires "would" but if we look at the event from present point of view and the stores are not closed, then "will" is acceptable.

I am leaning towards to D.

    announce to be closing...
(but I still don't like 'on account of poor sale', especially its place.)

    what do you think?
