IMO B

two things that I notted.

1. The last part of the sentence should have Between rich and poor. ( we can eliminate A.C.E

2. Status over others is correct. Eliminate D. We have B as answer.

Whats the OA?

what about the pronoun " Which " is there no ambiguity in its refernce ...

IMO: D

A/C/E - among. "Between X and Y" is correct

B: preferred status over others.

D: "Prefer X to Y" correct idiom.

some litigants have a preferred status to another.

"not" equally distributed - is better/clear in meaning than the phrase "unequally distributed"

Umm.. I am thinking what does others refer to ??

Is it the other litigants like in B or Another status like in D. Can somebody clarify ??

If its litigants than I don't think we can compare/contrast "Some" with "another". example,,

some people drink others don't.
