We have used Verb + ING in many forms..but there are many examples of Verb + ING in which this participle form modifies the subject or the action of the previous clause... Do u mean to say in this example that this participle form is used only to modify the clauses that are in active voices?? Not clear what you mentioned... Thanks in advance...

Hey guys pls tell me..how come here
.. Five fledgling sea eagles left their nests in western Scotland this summer, bringing to 34 the number of wild birds successfully raised since transplants from Norway began in 1975. bringing is modifying the previous clause.. You may say that "Five fledgling sea eagles left their nests in western Scotland this summer," is in active voice.... but how does that help...? |
