    S-V agreement + object

Out of the public's interest in the details of and conflicts in other people's lives have grown a booming market for "reality" television shows that are bringing "regular" people onto the television screen with increasing frequency.

    (A) other people's lives have grown a booming market for "reality" television shows that are bringing
    (B) other people's lives has grown a booming market for "reality" television shows that are bringing
    (C) another person's life has grown a booming market for a "reality" television show that is bringing
    (D) other people's lives has grown a booming market for "reality" television shows that is bringing
    (E) other people's lives has grown a booming market for "reality" television shows that bring

    A, D out: S-V agreement
C out: Public's interest lies in other's people lives and not just in a single person's life
    I am stumped between B and E.

IMO E because it uses simple present (instead of progressive form) to state a general condition

    (A) other people's lives have grown a booming market for "reality" television shows that are bringing (Interest ... have... OUT)
    (B) other people's lives has grown a booming market for "reality" television shows that are bringing
    (C) another person's life has grown a booming market for a "reality" television show that is bringing (public ... another person's ... OUT)

Among the 2 contenders, B is an active sentence. Out of public interest (in other people's life ) has GROWN a booming market for reality shows that (reality shows) are bringing regular people... I think this sentence is continuing the meaning of the sentence as a RECENT TREND (which is hiding inside the sentence).

On the other hand, E is describing a GENERAL TREND.

Bothe of the sentence are grammatically OK.
I think on the context of meaning B is the answer.
Hope this is not a sample question from GMAT. Two grammatically sound question may cause HUGE pressure on G-Day.

I think there is some truth in your answer....maybe it is helpful to see that the sentence also uses "increasing frequency" to emphasize that there is something currently going on...
