    Idiom Just as ....,so

    Just as the zoologist can reconstruct an entire skeleton from a jawbone or even a tooth, so the archaelogist can begin to reconstruct a vanished civilization from a spindle whorl , a few beads and a handful of grave dust

    I found this as a 'correct ans' to an sc question. The only reason this seemed to differ from others was the usage of
    Just as ...,so

    is this a known idom ??

    both are corrct. But u see the former more often...

    BTW can we use Just as....similarly in this scenario.

    What I am doing here is trying to replace so with similarly

    just like IS IT UNIDIOMATIC ???
    (D) Reconstructing an entire skeleton from a jaw- bone or even a tooth is to the zoologist like
    Reconstructing ... is to zoologist like ..the ar- chaeologist can begin to ...
    Not Parallel

    (E) Just as the zoologist can reconstruct an entire skeleton from a jawbone or even a tooth, so
    Idiomatic..seems correct
    just as ....so too
    just as ....so

    Pls explain why is option C wrong.
    just as ....so Vs just like
    The teacher performs her duty just like the chef cooks well .
    Just as the teacher performs her duty so the chef cooks well.

    comparing to actions so use as. comparing reconstruction done by 2 people
