    Republicans also benefited from the enthusiastic and well-organized support of conservative Christians concerning about social issues, including abortion.



    A. concerning about social issues, including abortion.

    B. concerning on social issues, including abortion.

    C. concerned about social issues, including abortion

    D. concerned on social issues, including abortion

    E. concerned social issues, including abortion

    Please explain which one between "concerning" and "concerned" should be used?

    Another vote for C.

    "Concerning" is wrong because it wrongly modifies christians.It is saying that christians contain "concerns" about social issues.Here an adjective is needed to correctly say that christians are "worried" or "concerned" about theses issues.

    I have one question left.
    Therefore, "concerned" in this sentence acts as adj. not past participle.
    Right?
