I think it is A. I can't explain the reason but D is definitely wrong. Also, it is hard to explain why other choices are wrong, but A sounds best to me.... Any other opinions?

If the ice of Greenland and Anartica were to melt, the sea level would rise at least 100 feet or more.
a. same as above
b. Were the ice of Greenland and Anartica to melt, the sea level would rise at least 100 feet.
c. Was the ice of Greenland and Anartica to melt, the sea level would rise at least 100 feet or more.
d. if the ice of Greenland and Anartica was melting, the sea level would rise at least 100 feet.e. Should the ice of Greenland and Anartica melt, the sea level would rise at least 100 feet or more.
SPOILER: Official Answer D
please explain the wrong choices

I'd agree D.
Ice - singular subject
agrees with was
if and would agree also
"if the ice ... was melting, the sea level would rise..."
E is wrong because "at least 100 feet or more" and should/would also seems wrong (maybe if it was could)
".. or more." is redundant because of "at least..."
In my humble opinion,
If the ice of Greenland and Anartica were to melt, the sea level would rise at least 100 feet or more.
a. same as above; Incorrect because of redundancy (atleast 100 feet or more)
b. Were the ice of Greenland and Anartica to melt, the sea level would rise at least 100 feet.;Correct. (If it were is used for a future hypothetical situation and can be shortened to were it .......)
c. Was the ice of Greenland and Anartica to melt, the sea level would rise at least 100 feet or more.Incorrect because of redundancy (100 feet or more) and because of was................
d. if the ice of Greenland and Anartica was melting, the sea level would rise at least 100 feet.Incorrect because if would reuire the use of were because of future hypothetical situation.
e. Should the ice of Greenland and Anartica melt, the sea level would rise at least 100 feet or more.Incorrect because of redundancy (100 feet or more)
KnowledgeSeeker is right. The correct response is B.
A, C, and E can be eliminated immediately because of the egregiously redundant "at least 100 feet or more."
D is wrong because of "was." There are several ways to phrase correctly the conditional construction:
If the ice... melts, the sea level will rise....
If the ice... melted, the sea level would rise....
If the ice... should melt, the sea level would rise....
If the ice... were to melt, the sea level would rise....
The last two can be rephrased without "if" by moving the "should" and "were" to the beginning of the sentence:
Should the ice... melt, the sea level would rise....
Were the ice... to melt, the sea level would rise....
This last form is what you have in correct choice B.
