When you lose, don't lose the lesson

came back to the forum after a long time and saw these couple of interesting questions -
Q1 - A
I dont think there is much of a difference between the these two choices - the difference is one of a style - the first sentence puts more emphasis on the remarkability of the grandmother and the second puts more emphasis on "of all the people i have ever met".
1)My grandmother is the most remarkable person of all the persons I have ever met.
2) Of all the persons I have ever met, my grandmother is the most remarkable person.
that said, one thing is important to notice = the formal usage is most....of all and not
of all ...most
Q 2 - B
there are a few issues in the sentence -
different than Vs different from -> correct
Refer back Vs refer refer back is reduendant
practical Vs practicable. these are two different things, a solution can be practical and practicable.
Let us know anyway what the OAs are.

I would choose D and E
D for the first because it avoids redundunt PERSON in the second part.
E for the second because first, REFER BACK is not redundant and second, practical indeed sounds better to me.
Dreamz, is there any explanation why D and E are incorrect? Could you please let us know why these choices are wrong?
