there is a timed quiz in this website if anyone has done that, i have two questions that i don't understand:

1)The recently discovered dinosaur fossils provide justification for the group of paleontologists to continue its present course of study and request that more funding be granted by their benefactors.

2) More concrete and glass structures were constructed in the decade of the 1960's as any other did.

I haven't done the quiz, but will take my shot..

# request that more funding be granted by their benefactors
#to request more funding from its benefactors --> This is the answer because you should say either 'to request Z from' or 'request that X be Yed(Y is a verb, X/Z a noun).
#submit a request for more funding from their benefactors
#request more funding be granted by its benefactors
#to request additional funding from their benefactors


2) More concrete and glass structures were constructed in the decade of the 1960's as any other did.

# as any other did
# than in any other --> This is the answer because 'than' will come after 'more' and 'in any other' is parallel to 'in the decade of--'. E (than in any other period) is wrong because we can't compare any period with a decade here.
#as any other
#than another period..x
#than in any other period...x.


I don't know the official answers. Tell me if my answers/explanations are incorrect.
