A. has a run-on sentence. It needs something to connect the two indenpdent clauses.
B. gives a different meaning to the sentence.
C. including apples and oranges in one list of choices.... music vs. slopes.
E. missing an "and" between the last two choices. Moreover, "but" is not the correct conjunction. it gives a different meaning.
