chopra
IMO E A- Awkward construction. B- The object of documented explamples should be brain growth in mice and not mice itself. C- It seems that mice's brain is placed in stimulating environment wheras it should be mice. D- Same as C. Also mice and canaries' is not parallel. Vivek Goyal
'B' -> the last 'they' could refer to neurons as well as canaries. 'C' -> canaries' neurons do not learn the new song, the canaries do. 'd'-> same as 'C' I go with 'E'
badar
Good explanations but here is aother point that reaffirms answer as E Remember we are talking about the example of a phenomenon, a phenomenon that results in a certain action. Thus answer would be the one that quotes instances that exhibit that phenomenon. A) It is wrong because brains and neurons are not examples of the phenomenon for the reason explained above B) It is wrong again because here we are talking about mice and canaries. C) Wrong again. Neurons and brains :D D) They is referring to neurons that is wrong E) The right answer ( brain growth, and increase in neurons are both instances or happenings depicting a phenomenon)

Linux
A - incorrect because "increase" and "growing" are not parallel B,C,D - "They" is ambiguos E - is perfect
