Ok i went for E initially , But after seeing cold - blooded reptile .. those , that of warm -blooded animal doesnt make sense . so C,D,E ruled out .

in 'A' the metabolism of dinosaur is compared to mamals and reptiles and NOT to their metabolisms.
'C' looks ok to me. 'Those' is ok is we have metabolisms.

the phrase should be "many species of dinosaurs"

Official Answer is (A). It is the best but should be with an apostrophy as Bayou_3034 pointed out.

Seems strange though.
