A: like a constant threat is incorrect. B: The novel was not a result of the tensions during the war. C: 1960's were not a results either. D: Structure is awkward. E: Correct choice because analysts speculated that the sales of the novel were influenced by the tensions during the Cold War. |

Hi -
Can someone please explain in detail how E is correct. I still do not understand how "regarded by analysts as the result of tensions during the cold war" modify "sales of spy novel?" I went for D thinking that the first clause modifies the spy novel.. thanks |
