aim-high
Question seemed bit non-standard. D is best
v-rap
I think its C There are tense errors in several places. The option C uses correct tense and after ; there is separate sentence.
v-rap
I was thinking about D too. But "now" is little confusing in "now the kingdom airs" , Since in original scentence it was seperate one. This could be even the past tense. So I thought option C is safe.
kino
it should be C OA please
siliconfish
OA - D and the explanation provided is : (D) This question tests verb tense, wordiness, and meaning. The original sentence has verb tense problems: ‘occurring’ is unclear and ‘bans’ is in the present tense (should be in the past), since Bhutan no longer bans television. Thus (A) is incorrect. (B) correctly puts the verb ‘occur’ in the past tense: ‘occurred,’ but still does not correct ‘bans.’ ©, (D) and (E) all contain proper tense, but (D) is the clearest and most concise. © is wordy, creating 3 independent clauses and cutting up the flow. (E) is confusing. This sentence makes it appear that what was banned was the first television broadcast, not television itself. (D) is the best answer. Any comments? bose
imo D
IIMAOnly
Yeah non-standard question. Choice is between C and D and the pick is D because C has comma missing and uses words bhutan, kingdom, bhutan interchangeably. D sticks to the rules.
