    1. 'which' is needed to signify killer whale..growing is not appropriate here..
I guess, u dont 'grow to be x feet long' ..u grow as big as x..i mean a whale doesn't grow so as to 30 feet long..it just grows to some size x...
    Go with (D)

    2. (C) and (E) are completely changing the meaning..
Go with damage to instead of damage of ...also || with the later part of the sentence..
'for damage to resources' ....'for injury to people'...compensating is a more concise usage over 'giving comp' etc..
    Go with (A)

    3. I m eliminating a,b,c here bcos they seem to say that its the overtime thats causing hte problem ('that' referring to the noun before it)..however, the way i read hte sentence - its working for an excessive amt of overtime thats causing the judgement errors..
Between D and E..i m not sure if 'potential for causing' is the right usage..
Go with (E) (though D is really close here)

thats sad..i was down to D and A for the first one..but picked D bcos i didnt think 'grow to be' is the right usage..
Now trying to see an error in D, we can argue that 'as big as' is not a perfect usage either...'as big as' shd be used in comparisons...I m not as big as he is..kinda stuff..Here we rnt doing any comparisons...

I ll take A as the right answer if 'grow to be' is the right usage ?

    (B) overtime that has the potential to cause ---> same as A
    (C) overtime that potentially can cause ----> same as A
    (D) overtime, a practice that has the potential for causing ----> uses unnnecssary present perfect

    Hey sourav,

The Official Answer for the first one is A...Even I chose D the first time i did it..just trying to figure out a reason why A is better than D (thats assuming the Official Answer is correct)

IMO the anwer for first shd be D.
The correct idiom is "as big as...." as Sourav too pointed out.

Can somebody explain how the Official Answer is A?
