Sentence correction

[verbal is tough]

Just need some advice.
In sentence correction, which method is more efficient?
1 To read the sentence and get the meaning?
2 To look at the structure of the sentence ie noun ,pronoun subject ,verb etc?

I tried doin both together but it takes a lot of time and i just cant spend that much time on it.

Do both simultaneously. Then Depending on the sentence and answer choices,
either spend time on 1 or 2.

Sometimes answer choices can be eliminated based on distorted meanings only. And sometimes, meaning of the sentence is so straightforward that it only contains grammatical mistakes and nothing else

doing 2 first allows you to cut time eliminating choices fast, i only do 1 if absolutely necessary'

Yes doing 2 first is better.

I try to do both at the same time for the following reason: you might find a word or two within a sentence answer that changes the meaning of the original sentence.
