Ophirgus

Recommended Posts

I have a huge problem.

I score high in the quantitative and very poor in the verbal.

English is my second language and I need to score at least 710.

I scored 520 in test 56. (thanks to the quantitative).

does anyone have any tips to give me in order to reach my goal.

I work in a full time job and I have schedule a test to the end of August.

Thanks.......:)

Hi there,

English is not my mother tongue either and especially the verbal section is hard for me, too. But I think basically it is the same as with the quantative section - practice, practice, practice.... I improved trough that. In addition, it helps to make notes of all you mistakes in order to repeat them later. I realised that most of the stuff comes over and aver again in the OG...

Good luck for the test!

Check out Spideys Notes they will give you a whole new Insight into SC

When I started with my Prep, I was as consfused as you are and bad used to get one out of 10 correct in Kaplan tests, now manage to get 2 or three wrong(generally silly mistakes:)). Focus on the four kind of major errors

1) Subject Verb agreement

2) Parallel Structure

3) Logical Comparisions

4) Superfolus or Verbouse Errors

If you understand these SC will be lot more easier

Hope this helps

I agree to that! Try those notes. By the way, what exaclty do you mean by GMAT vocabulary? I just have a list with all the words I did not know during practice. It helps me to learns these and to be sure that I will not make the same mistake again. In addition, try to ready some English newspaper articels for example.

Because my boy-friend is American, I get at least my daily practice when I talk to him on the phone ;)
