Hi,
I wanted to know which is the correct idiom - 'reffered as' or 'referred to as'.
E.g., 1. The pitcher, hereafter referred as Jim, played well.
2. The pitcher, hereafter referred to as Jim, played well.
Which one of the preceding sentences is correct? Let me know as it seems that 'referred as' and 'referred to as' can be used interchangably. But knowing ETS, and GMAT, there can only be one correct usage.
