RC Crisis! :/

I have this weird problem, that when I begin with RCs the first few go really bad n then i'm in the grove n then the rest go ok. (Indeed none rock!)
Is this common?
I dont know how should i help this...

And also please tell me how should i increase my speed in readin RCs cos its EITHER deciphering the passage, taking time and then answering them well OR running through it and ending up with wrong answers!
