how to avoid mistakes in first 15 questions
hello everyone,
is there any method to avoid mistakes in first few questions... i am solving sets and i am getting 8 to 9 wrong in total but half of them in first 15... is there any strategy to avoid these mistakes... also i like to ask any strategy to choose correct answer between last two remaining options after eleminating others...bec invariably i am choosing the incorrect one between the two... thanks in advance Last edited by rashel : 06-20-2008 at 02:46 PM. |

Assuming there is 5 level of difficulties - lvl1 being the simplest and has a weightage of 1; lvl5 being the hardest and highest weightage of 5. Then assume the probability of you getting a lvl1 correct is 5/5*1, whereas probability of getting a lvl3 correct is 3/5*1 and a lvl5 correct is 1/5*1. Run through a simulation of best possible outcome; you'll find that getting all the early questions correct may not give you the highest probability of high marks. |

I don't think that missing an early question will harm your score that much because the test seems to be good at adapting to your ability level. However, the suggestion to warm up before the exam is a good one. On my practice CATs I've missed early easy questions a few times because I just wasn't in the zone yet.
