Hey everyone!

I too have been hearing great reviews for this set of nine books. I've been trying to digest all of the different suggestions I've been reading, and this is the one set I'm yet to read anything negative about (excluding costs).

I feel like with these 9 books one could prepare well for the quant section, however, was hoping someone could comment on what resources would be needed to be prepared for the verbal.

I'm trying to consolidate everything I've been reading to come up with the "optimal" GMAT preparation package, if one were to exist. Any comments here?

Yes, I agree, the only negative thing about the EZ GMAT series is the cost. But on second thoughts, you can get 9 of the 10 books for about $180, which is not bad at all as they cover everything you need to know to score high on GMAT quant.

I tried a few verbal books, like manhattan, PR, etc, but they didnt really help me much. Can anyone please suggest some good source for verbal material, or it just doesnt exist?

I think it just doesn't exist.. You have to go thru many books, notes and forums.. I used Manhattan GMAT, Princeton, Barrons, Spideby notes, Wren n Martin, Mitul notes, Kaplan and testmagic forums...
I think verbal improve as you learn, do exercise and contribue more on forums..

Patel 81,

The reason why the EZ books are so good is because the creator took info from other GMAT books and compiled it into his own set. For instance, I was looking at a Manhattan Prep GMAT book at the rate section, and then looked at the EZ Solutions corresponding section, and large chunks of the text were the same. I'm not complaining, though, because they are great books.

I have looked at every EZ book except the Basic Math book and Test-takers manual, and the only one I was not impressed with was the Math Solutions book. In fairness to EZ, I'm just at a more advanced stage in my studying, and need to know how to solve the most difficult problems, not find out more stragies to backsolve, do math shortcuts, ect, concepts, I've already seen in some of the one-volume books such as Kaplan and Princeton Review.

For Verbal, I have been very impressed with the Sentence Correction Bible and Critical Reasoning Bible. While Manhattan GMAT Prep books did offer some insight for me, the two Bible books I mentioned above basically seem to contain the same stuff as Manhattan GMAT, but are much more comprehensive. That is the same impression I got when comparing EZ to Manhattan GMAT. Manhattan GMAT Prep seems very sparse now.

Unfortunately EZ Solutions has not released its Verbal books yet.

I'm planning on dissecting each problem one by one in the OG, then using either an EZ Solutions book, the Sentence Correction Bible, or Critical Reasoning Bible as reinforcement, along with any other miscellaneous resources I can find.

Abhishek Mumbai, the way that I have looked for GMAT books is by going to Amazon.com, choosing the book category and then typing in GMAT as the keyword. Choosing the book category brings up more of a selection than otherwise. I have trolled the list often, because every once in a while, a highly rated used book such as the Sentence Correction Bible will show up at a reasonable price. The EZ Solutions books are rarely priced much lower than the Amazon rate though. However, I think books from all the sets are basically the same, just with a different test title, such as ACT, GRE, ect, so hypothetically, if you were to find an EZ ACT Arithmetic book at a good price, it would be just as good as an EZ GMAT Arithmetic book.

Here's a link you can try if it will work.

Amazon.com: gmat: Books

Also, you can do a search on Amazon with keywords EZ Solutions/EZ Solutions GMAT or GMAT Bible, and it will bring up books strictly from the sets mentioned above.
