GMAT is a lot tougher, both in India and abroad. I wrote it in Delhi and now in Canada. Quant was a lot tougher when I wrote it in Canada.
But it can be possible that GMAC makes the test harder for Indians. I am a canadian PR and still I was sent back home to get my passport. Found it weird. Another thing, when you sign up for GMAT, you can order request a GMATPREP CD, is it possible that GMAC can pre-package a test based on a candidates nationality? When I was signing up, they asked me if my location has changed because my first attempt was in Delhi. Then they asked for my passport in Canada. WEIRD!! I had a valid ID(Princeton Review card) with date, signature, photo and DOB. There is a lot more I want to add about my test experience, but I'm afraid that I will get a ban, I'm sure. GMAC is such a surprise, there is a lot of stuff going on internally, but the indication I got is that GMAT is equally tough in India and abroad, what i am trying to question here is that whether GMAT delivers you a harder exam based on your nationality? In India ID might be a problem, why would they need my passport in Canada? |

It's a computer - adaptive test ! (A GMAT candidate above everyone else should know what that means)
It gets tougher based on your abilities..that's what it is..'Adaptive'. The pool of questions is the same across the world. No body can make it tougher or easier for anyone. Only you yourself can do so! Location is the probably one of the most unrelated factors influencing a candidates test experience. |
