Unhappy Scored 680 - Need Advice!!

Hi,

I gave my GMAT today..N scored 680(M50, V30). I am very disappointed. I used to score in 700-750 range in the GMATprep Exam....It don't knw what went wrong...I was aiming the top b-schools..and took a complete 1 month off from the office to prepare for the test...My practice scores were

GMAT Prep:
Test 1: 710(M50,V33), & 750(M51, V38)
Test 2: 700(M50,V32), & 730(M51, V34)
Kaplan: 670 (M50, V32), 650
GMAT Live: (M50, V50)

Before Prep: Manahattan 630(M49,V28)

I know that there is a problem with my english(as usually the case with Indians). But I tried as hard as I could - I did OG10&12(twice), Manhattan SC(twice), some questions from test magic forums as well. Read articles from scientific american and other similar stuff.

During the test my maths section was ok, scored 6 in awa, but i was exausted at time of english, i became so tense that i was finding it difficult to breathe at the time of english section...

I am feeling very low, as GMAT was the only option with me...My academic record is very good, I was the school topper, and then stood 4th in the Delhi University(in commerce) but lack on work ex(only 1.5 years). Therefore a good GMAT score is necessay to make it to the top 5.

Please advice me what to do next...as i have already finished all the relevant material...I am thinking of taking another 2 months off and do extensive reading...would that help...is there anythin else i need to do...any other suggestions......Please rescue...

Did you gave your practice tests along with AWA ?

Since you said that you were exhausted at the time of English, it is clearly the case of endurance rather than any skill or performance.

Had you been accustomed to 4 hrs of gruelling sitting in front of PC, things would have been better.

My advice would be to take a break and then retake .
