I'm not sure why the latter word has become so popular here, but I just wanted to clear that up because it is extremely confusing.

Bump, because I just saw a new thread in which someone wrote "gave."

Edit: I see this thread is locked to this page. I highly disagree with this, as I think it is extremely dangerous to let people with good scores, who will presumably be attending good universities, to arrive there and talk about "giving the GMAT." Indeed, the moment I noticed the new post with the word "gave" in it was when this thread was taken off the front page!
