Arrow GMATPrep Vs GMAT TEST!!!

Hey everybody! I want to know whether the GMATPrep is a real simulation of the actual GMAT test? (I know the breaks are not timed, btw) And does it give you an accurate score of your performance?

Thank you!

Hi,

In my experience, it is pretty accurate. First time I did the Prep test, I got 700. The next day I got 700 on the second one and a day later, I took the actual GMAT and got 700!

But if you are re-sitting, then the value gets diminished because the question bank for the GMAT prep is limited, and you will see questions that you already know the answers to.

I tried downloading GMATprep and for some reason I can't open it. I have McAfee and my virus configurations are up to date. Has anyone ever experienced this problem?

@rahultso, so if there's no point in taking the GMATPrep for a second time I should take the princeton tests. How accurate are those btw, in your experience?

I wouldn't say there is no point, because I only really trust the GMAT prep to give me an accurate base of questions. I have not tried any other sources, because I find that they don't quite match the format/style of the official exam.

I would just say that you should probably subtract about 20/30 points from the score you get, if you are repeating the GMAT prep anytime soon after your previous attempt.

I just took the GMAT actual again yesterday, and got 720. In the two previous prep tests, i had gotten 710 and 730, so again, the accuracy is good. However, the key thing to mention here is that it had been about 5 weeks since I'd previously used GMAT prep, so my memory of and familiarity with the questions was gone, which is good.

Hope this helps a little!

I would say that Princeton tests are slightly easier than the real test. From my experience. I scored 20 points lower on the real GMAT than my highest PR score.

However.. the more practice the better.
